Regain Your Youthful Smile with Dentures
Significant tooth loss can cause significant problems for your oral health. Not only do you lose the ability to properly bite and chew your food, but also to enunciate your words clearly, and smile with the confidence you enjoyed when your smile was complete. Whether you’ve lost all, almost all, or just many of your teeth, we can custom design a complete or partial denture to match your specific needs.
What are Complete Dentures?
Complete dentures, or full dentures, are the ones most commonly recognized as dentures, and consist of an entire row of lifelike replacement teeth (pontics). The pontics sit on a comfortable, gum-colored base that is molded to fit snugly on your dental ridge, sometimes with the help of dental adhesives, if necessary.
What are Partial Dentures?
As you might have guessed, partial dentures are similar to complete dentures, but instead of an entire row of pontics, the replacement teeth are situated to fit around your existing teeth. In addition to a supportive plastic base, partial dentures may also rely on hidden clasps to remain steady while you bite, chew, and speak.
What are Implant Dentures?
Whether you require complete or partial dentures, your dental prosthesis may fit and perform better if secured to a series of dental implants. The prosthetic teeth roots are inserted into the jawbone, and after a brief healing period (usually 4-6 months), the posts can support your denture much like teeth roots support your natural teeth.
